杜象藝術於1992年，由白雅玲女士創立於依山傍海的港都高雄。

30多年來，以當代藝術專業為本，杜象藝術不斷嘗試藝術介入空間的各種可能。從私人空間收藏、環境藝術、公共藝術、展覽策畫，到藝文論壇、文創設計、編輯出版、活動執行等，我們將每一個任務視為將當代文化風貌透過藝術手法展現出來的珍貴機會。

1993年至1996年間設立的「杜象藝術空間」，是一個充滿美感與創造力的當代藝術藝術場域，創造了港都高雄獨特的當代藝術風華，作為國際當代藝術展演及藝文活動的場域及藝術專業累積的基石，包含建立國內外藝術創作者與作品資料庫。

以當代藝術策劃的經驗為基石，杜象團隊在跨領域的專業背景下企業及公部門合作，透過規模不等的藝術計畫（Art Project），以當代藝術的形式，讓文化進入生活。

自1990年代公共藝術設置辦法設立以來，結合藝術專業與環境規劃的工程經驗，杜象接受公私部門的委託進行公共藝術及計畫典藏的策劃及專案管理，並曾獲得公共藝術最佳創意獎、最佳興辦單位獎、最佳教育推廣獎等榮譽。

近年來，公共藝術的發展已日益重視「參與性」。以此為方向，杜象團隊於2021年辦理「海洋文化及流行音樂中心」藝術參與計畫，透過藝術駐地計畫、工作坊、講座、臨時性裝置藝術、國際專題論壇等形式，將參與式藝術落實到日常生活場域。

當代美感與哲思的啟發、展示，是杜象藝術工作的核心。期許一同在時代的遷移與多元文化的演進當中，尋找亙古不變的人文精神。

Duhsiang Art was founded in 1992 by Ms. Pai Yaling in the harbor city of Kaohsiung, nestled by the mountains and the sea. Over the past three decades, rooted in the expertise of contemporary art, Duhsiang Art has continuously explored various possibilities of artistic intervention in spaces. From private space collections, environmental art, public art, and exhibition curation, to art and cultural forums, creative design, editing and publishing, event execution, we consider each task as a precious opportunity to showcase the contemporary cultural landscape through artistic means.

The “Duhsiang Art Space” established between 1993 and 1996 was a contemporary art venue brimming with aesthetics and creativity. It created the distinctive contemporary art scene of Kaohsiung, serving as a cornerstone for international contemporary art exhibitions, cultural events, and accumulating expertise in the arts. This foundation includes the establishment of databases for domestic and foreign art creators and their works.

Building upon the experience of contemporary art curation, the Duhsiang team collaborates with businesses and public sectors across interdisciplinary backgrounds. Through various scaled “Art Projects,” we use contemporary art as a form to integrate culture into life.

Since the establishment of the Public Art Installation Guidelines in the 1990s, leveraging the combination of art expertise and environmental planning experience, Duhsiang has accepted commissions from public and private sectors to curate and manage public art and collection projects. We have been honored with awards for Best Creative Public Art, Best Organizer, and Best Education Promotion. 

In recent years, the development of public art has increasingly emphasized “participation.” With this direction in mind, the Duhsiang team carried out the “Ocean Culture and Pop Music Center” art participation project in 2021. Through art residencies, workshops, lectures, temporary installations, international thematic forums, and other forms, we aim to integrate participatory art into everyday life.

Inspiration and presentation of contemporary aesthetics and philosophies form the core of Duhsiang Art’s work. We aspire to collectively seek the timeless human spirit amidst the transitions of time and the evolution of diverse cultures.
